How a cistern fill works
Simple process. You should not have to guess what happens on delivery day.
- You tell us the town, tank size, and how to get to the fill pipe.
- We load drinking water at an approved public fill station.
- Chlorine residual is checked and recorded on that load.
- A load is 2,000 gallons. We fill what your tank will hold from that load.
How we haul it
Montana treats hauled drinking water as a regulated job. That is how the truck will run.
- Tank, hoses, and fittings used only for potable water.
- Water from approved public systems and approved loading stations.
- Chlorine residual checked on each load.
- Monthly bacteriological sampling as required.

How do I know how many gallons I need?
A truck load is 2,000 gallons. If your cistern is smaller, say so when you book. If it is larger, you may need more than one load.
Can you fill a pool or hot tub?
Yes, when the water has to be potable. Same dedicated tank. Say so on the form so we plan the load.
